1)      Establish the incidence of leptomeningeal carcinomatosis (LMC) by tumor type among patients treated at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), a tertiary care referral center in the Middle East.

2)      Investigate risk factors for LMC and prognostic factors determining OS. Compare them to the published literature.

3)      Report on the efficacy of treatment modalities used and predictive factors for response.

This study will be a single institution retrospective cohort study based on chart review of all cases of LMC seen at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), a tertiary- care hospital, over a period of 12 years (January 1st of 2005 until August 2017).

The estimated LMC cases diagnosed at the AUBMC in the last 12 years is around 80 cases.

All adult patients (age >18) with a histologically or radiologically confirmed LMC diagnosis will be eligible, regardless of follow-up status at AUBMC. The expected time for completion of the study is estimated at 1 year.
