1)     Study the clinical features and occurrence of pulmonary carcinoid tumors treated at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), a tertiary care referral center in the Middle East.

2)     Investigate prognostic factors and outcomes of pulmonary carcinoid tumors treated at AUBMC and compare them to the published literature.

This study is a single institution retrospective cohort study based on chart review of all cases of pulmonary carcinoid tumors seen at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), a tertiary- care hospital, over a period of 17 years (January 1st of 2000 until July2017).

The estimated number of pulmonary carcinoid tumor cases diagnosed at the AUBMC in the last 17 years are around 40 cases.

All adult patients (age >18) with a histologically or radiologically confirmed pulmonary carcinoid tumor will be eligible, regardless of follow-up status at AUBMC. The expected time for completion of the study is estimated at 6 months.
