ASA I–II patients, aged 16 to 60 yr scheduled
for elective surgery.
Exclusion criteria included a history
of hypertension, asthma, drug or alcohol abuse,
cardiovascular disease, gastroesophageal reflux, body
mass index > 30 kg·m–2 and predicted difficulty of
intubation.
