ASA I or II parturients in active labour with a cervical dilation of 3-5 cm and requesting epidural analgesia

Women with severe medical or obstetric complications, multiple gestation, contraindication to epidural analgesia, local anaesthetics or fentanyl allergy, and those who were unable to use the PCEA pump
