ASA physical status I or II parturients, undergoing a cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia

major systemic disease, allergies to any medication included in the study protocol, and those with pre-existing pruritus due to pregnancy or a coexisting skin disorder or other pruritogenic systemic diseases
