ASA I and II children aged between 2 and 12 years presenting for total or partial tonsillectomy with or without adenoidectomy and myringotomy under general anesthesia

Patients who received antiemetics, steroids, antihistaminics, or psychoactive drugs within 24 hours before surgery or those with diabetes or in whom IV induction was indicated were excluded.
