To understand how women with infertility in Lebanon experience positive changes after their diagnosis with infertility and whether women’s affect (positive and negative affect) and Affective personality Type contribute to their psychological growth.


Patients undergoing their first cycle of in vitro fertilization (IVF) at the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Unit at the American University of Beirut-Medical Center in Beirut, Lebanon and Health Medical Center, Saida, Lebanon.


purposive sampling


Women with infertility for more than three years and undergoing IVF treatment

Participants have the ability to read and write either English or Arabic


Participants who have any physical or mental disabilities, or suffered from serious mental illness or trauma
