The aims of this study are to determine the incidence of Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH) diagnosed in the emergency room during 4 clinical years (2010-2013) at AUB-MC, clinical outcomes and risk factors for SAH.

Patients who present with SAH as a primary diagnosis to the emergency room at AUB-MC from 1st of January 2004-31st of December 2014

Data will be collected from the patients’ charts. After IRB approval, the medical record department will be contacted to obtain all the medical record numbers of patients who presented with SAH during the years 2010 to 2013 using the IDC9 disease coding system. SAH has the code 430 in the ICD9. Researchers will then collect the data onto a data collection sheet, which will be transferred onto an electronic data collection sheet for data analysis. Results and discussions will be reported in the form of a manuscript.

Patients who present with SAH as a primary diagnosis to the emergency room at AUBMC from 1st of January 2004-31st of December 2014.

Patients who develop iatrogenic SAH due to surgery or medical intervention during the same period.
