The objective of our study is to determine the current immunization practice in women of different age groups (adolescents, pregnant women, adults, and elderly) and to compare the academic practice to the private practice in an effort to integrate and optimize the immunization practice in women health care.
Data will be collected by a questionnaire that will distributed to all consenting obstetricians and gynecologists attending the Annual Meeting of the Lebanese Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists November 14-16, 2014. Two of the co-investigators (SJ, RH) will be responsible for distributing the surveys. The information that will be collected will include:
- Demographics
- Type of practice (academic, private, etc …)
- Academic background: medical school, years in training, subspecialty, …
- Practices regarding:
Vaccines to adolescents (which ones), reason, time of vaccination
Vaccines to pregnant patients (which ones), reason, time of vaccination
Vaccines to adults and elderly (which ones), reason, time of vaccination
- Awareness of CDC/ACIP immunizations schedule
- Willingness to integrate immunization into their practice
